One of PEM’s many affiliations is Youth With A Mission (YWAM), a non-profit international charity. PEM has partnered with YWAM’s Homes of Hope program in Ensenada, Mexico to help build much needed homes for the homeless in Mexico. The Homes of Hope division is based out of San Diego, California and has helped build thousands of homes since its start in 1991 in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Over 2 busy days, the PEM and YWAM teams build a house for a needy family. A PEM volunteer team made the trip in April 2011 and another, larger group is scheduled for November 2011. This was a wonderful experience for everyone involved and PEM hopes to continue its involvement with YWAM and Homes of Hope in future.
