Homes of Hope (Youth With A Mission)

Based out of San Diego, California, Homes of Hope is dedicated to providing homes to needy families in Ensenada and Tijuana Mexico as well as in the Dominican Republic.  Homes of Hope has helped build thousands of homes since its start in 1991.  Since its inception, the Homes of Hope program has impacted thousands of children living in the Baja region as their families have been home recipients. These children have experienced benefits in their health and wellbeing due to improved living conditions.  Youth With A Mission is an international organization that ministers to countries throughout the world in various projects ranging from ministry to education.

Atlanta Community Food bank

The Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) currently distributes nearly two million pounds of food and other donated grocery items each month to more than 700 nonprofit partner agencies in 38 counties in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. ACFB supports a wide range of people in need, from children to the working poor. Food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers are among the agencies that receive product from the Food Bank and provide food and other critical resources for low-income Georgians who suffer from hunger and food insecurity.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Phoenix

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Phoenix has been serving Arizona’s poor since 1946. The organization provides programs including services for the homeless, medical and dental care for the working poor, charity dining rooms, thrift stores, transitional housing, and other assistance for those in need in both central and northern Arizona. As an international non-profit organization, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul provides humanitarian work all over the world.

UMOM New Day Centers

UMOM New Day Centers, based out of Phoenix, is dedicated to helping low-income families in the Phoenix area become self-sufficient. They offer many programs and resources from education, recreation, health screenings and assessments and hygiene items to financial assistance, job training and placement, continuing education, and legal assistance. UMOM’s Child Care Center is Arizona’s only accredited education facility on a homeless shelter’s campus. The Child Care Center offers children without a home a routine and a safe environment for them to learn.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix

Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a home-away-from-home for families that travel to Phoenix, sometimes long distances, for their children’s medical treatment. The two Ronald McDonald properties in Phoenix, the Roanoke House on Roanoke Avenue in Phoenix and the Cambridge House just steps from the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, can accommodate up to 63 families at a time and serve more than 1,500 families a year. Guests are provided private rooms, daily meals, and can stay as long and as often as needed, sometimes for months at a time. No one is turned away because they cannot afford the $10 a night fee. Individual, corporate and foundation donations support the non-profit organization that has been deemed “the House that Love Built.”

Foundation for Blind Children

Founded in 1952, the Foundation for Blind Children has become a national model for agencies serving the blind. The organization provides a comprehensive system of services, which optimizes the blind, or visually impaired child's development and which provides many opportunities to lead a meaningful and productive life--starting with infancy, through preschool, elementary and secondary education throughout college and adulthood.
